What is the What?

A confusing tittle, for an even more intrugingly confusing book....
What is the What? is the story of Valentino Achak Deng. He is a Lost Boy, and a surviver of of the Second Sundanese Civil War (1983-2005).
This story has two settings: present day in the U.S. and the past at Sudan. These two settings are combined as one and tell the present and the past at the same time. Though many find this somewhat confusing it only adds more spice to the chili. What is the What? is a partially fictional book. This means that many facts of this book are made up, but that the book still contians realistic facts that did occur.
