Victims:civilians in southern Sudan

What Happened? There was a war between the southern, non-Arab populations against the northern, Arab-dominated government.
How did it end? The conflict officially ended with the signing of a peace agreement in January 2005, but fighting still continues to this day and hundreds of thousands remain internally displaced.

What happened to those responsible?

What happened to those who were attacked? Many civilians were killed (1.9 million) and 4 million had to flee their homes all at once. This was very tragic because inoccent people died and millions had to leave their homes in a moments notice leaving many inportant items at there house. cry

Is it a "recognized" genocide? Yes, because it was the world's longest running civil war.
