General Genocide Discussion

What does "never again" mean when referring to genocide?

The words "never again" when referring to any genocide means everything is going to be safe

and the world will finally be at peace, which seems almost impossible. But "never again" is

basically a false statement. It's hard to believe but many people today are still being persecuted

just by the way he or or she may look. Whether it's their religion, nationality, the way they speak, or

even their skin color. Most of us are aware of this, but we always seem too busy to do anything

about it.

What are actions government organizations have undertaken to prevent future genocides?

Many government organizations have become prepared for any future genocides and

are becoming fully aware of any related situations. The United Nations promised to give

early warnings of future genocides or comparable crimes, and to analyze or manage the

information that we do receive. They also want us to clear ground rules to distinguish

any threats of any upcoming genocides.

What are actions international nonprofit organizations have
undertaken to prevent future genocides?

Some international nonprofit oraganizations have tried to prevent future genocides.

International laws, conventions, treaties and institutions exists to protect human rights.

Many nonprofit organizations are doing their best to prevent future genocides. There

are more than one hundred nonprofit organizations today, who are still trying to prevent

any new genocides.

What are the positives about the United Nations being the major
body that  attempts to prevent genocide?

The positives about having the United Nations being the major

body that attempts to prevent genocides is that they could be the

voice of reason for thousands of people.  Many people will become

influenced through their good deeds and spread the word to help

prevent any genocides.

What are the negatives about the United Nations being the
major body that attempts to prevent genocide?

The negatives about the United Nations being the major body that attempts

to prevent genocides is that people may think that they are forcing them to do

something they don't want to do. They may also think that genocides happened

quite some time ago so they don't need to worry about any new genocides that

may occur. But I think that everyone still need to be fully aware about this subject

because it is a very serious matter.

"Never again" to me is a false promise. We promise to never again opress people of other race and color, but we end up doing the exact opposite. The term "never again", can never be true, we as humans think of only one thing: being better than the person next to you. As disgusting as that sound it's true, and we all know very well that this is occuring, everyday of our lives.

When referring to never again in genocide we are referring to peace between the people. We are talking about that a man or women can walk down the street and not have to worry about being called a awful name or to not even worry about being shoot to death. But sadly that is all a lie as much as we all hate to face it never again is the worlds most unfulfilled promise in all the world. To this day people are being killed for there face, skin, and even the way they look and live.
